Police are looking for a road-rage shooter who seriously injured two women early Wednesday night in southwest Atlanta.

One woman was shot in the face and the other in the chest by a black man believed to be driving a red convertible with a black top, police said.

The vehicle is similar to a Eagle Talon with the words “Talon” possibly written on the back, police spokesman James Polite said.

The women were together in a car when they encountered the man around 8 p.m., Wednesday night in the 3900 block of Campbellton Road, police said.
“He tried to have a conversation with them, and they weren’t receptive and drove off,” Polite said.

But about a half a mile to the east, as the women began to get onto I-285, the man appeared again and began shooting, Polite said.

Both women, whose names police declined to release, were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital where they are in stable condition, police said.

Police continue to look for the shooter.
